Who is she?

Hi, I’m Cat, a Philly native, lifelong DIYer, and your go-to resource for beautiful, thoughtful, and respectful home and life solutions. My journey to handymam has been winding. After earning an MFA in design and over a decade in tech, I returned to my first love: hands-on work that transforms. Growing up in Philly’s Devil’s Pocket, I spent my time helping my parents gut and renovate row homes, absorbing skills and shaping my love for Philly’s architectural heritage. Since moving back to the city in 2023, I’ve been restoring my own row home with period-inspired touches and a lush garden, bringing beauty and quality to every corner of my space.

DUZ-ALL was born from my passion for problem-solving and my desire to make fixing things accessible and empowering for everyone, especially women. Giving people the confidence to maintain and enjoy their homes without feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disrespected is important to me. Whether it’s patching walls, installing ceiling fans, designing planter boxes, or even mending clothes, I truly DUZ-ALL—and I make it easy and affordable.

At the heart of my work are a few simple values: quality, respect, and sustainability. I’m committed to eco-friendly practices whenever possible, choosing materials and methods that have minimal environmental impact. I believe in the value of preserving and improving Philly’s unique architecture, empowering locals to maintain their homes so they can stand strong for another century.

My work style is efficient and considerate; I’m in and out of your space with a focus on high-quality, lasting results (leaving your space cleaner than I found it).

Weekends, you’ll often find me at flea markets and thrift stores seeking old treasures. I’d love to help you achieve a home that reflects your unique style and stands the test of time!
